I was late for school today because I kept hitting the snooze alarm because I wanted five more minutes like 395790347 times
and then I was running late
and there was ice on my windshield so I had to hunt around the house for an ice scraper
and then I finally found one, scraped the ice off, and didn't end up leaving the house until about 7:03
and school starts at 7:15 8D

I MADE IT THERE TWO SECONDS LATE because I speed lololol AND MY ECONOMICS TEACHER SAW ME COMING BUT HE DECIDED TO BE A DICK AND WAS ALL "GO GET A TARDY PASS >:U"
So I had to walk to the other side of the school
making me even later.

I'm going to an Emilie Autumn concert on Tuesday.



This sucks.

LOL SO my three-day weekend didn't even feel like that at all.
Saturday was SAT as I put in a previous journal.
Then Sunday was National Portfolio Day. I'm really happy I went; I got a LOT of good feedback and suggestions. I also received an application fee waiver from Otis, and both MICA and RIT accepted my portfolio on the spot~
I was actually pretty disappointed when I went to Pratt and Parsons' tables. I didn't really get much from them, other than "this is okay but you should do more of this" and just.....meh. They're considered top schools, and I honestly was hoping for more feedback from them. Dx But, of course, I can kind of understand since they'd already been speaking with people for hours.

On Monday, my mother and I drove to Denton to visit UNT.
That school looks like crap.
And I honestly don't think the art department there is as good as it claims to be. They don't even look at your portfolio for acceptance to the program! Anyone who thinks they can draw could get in. It's just....no!
We took at peek at a faculty show they had going on, and there wasn't that much that I found very impressive.
The woman I had an appointment with in the Art Department office didn't even try to sell me the school. All she did was talk for an hour about the required courses, not even giving much detail about them.

and then I got lost on the way to Denny's for my cousin's birthday. A 15-minute drive ended up taking me 45 minutes.

I was going to go to the State Fair today with my friend and her family, but her little brother is sick so that killed our plans.

HURHURHUR I haven't used this journal in forever.

EH I MIGHT AS WELL USE A BLOG. All the cool kids are doing it, you know.




We made cookies in my Intro to Culinary Arts class today.
Crappy photo is crappy.

They spread out a lot and turned into a cookie cake lol.
They're really good, though. <3 Lots of chocolate chips with some oatmeal, too.

We made dogtags with the laser engraver in my Computer Applications class, too.
Mine is obviously the best.


 

waughhhhh I need to get to work on my portfolio for National Portfolio Day and Collegeeeee

Just last night I learned on of the people I talked to on Gaia passed away on the 28th.
She and I weren't super close, but it's still kind of shocking.


And it got me thinking, "What if I died today, or tomorrow?"
Or, "What if that was one of my best friends?"

Makes me want to live life to the fullest, now.
